After months of being in that deadly ~80% complete stage, I've finally pulled together the last ~20% needed just to get this site live. Here it is. Welcome to Developing In The Dark!

I love new technologies and they seem to sprout up everyday - most notably when doing the breakfast twitter check. Its the thrill of discovery and it's arguably unmatched. I try to get my hands dirty in different apis, frameworks, languages when I find them. However its only recently that I've found myself struggling to juggle the different work I (and we at Inlight) have been playing around with. I know there would have been something cool that we did two weeks ago or a month ago, but unfortunately it's sitting forgotten on the mental shelf collecting dust because it was either implemented and is working, or it was a proof of concept, or its unfinished and in almost all cases it likely lacks proper documentation. Basically, its a shame. It could have been shared with others, or at the very least finished and documented for future reference. That's why I've setup Developing In The Dark.

With a backlog of topics to share and discuss, over the coming months I'll be writing about all things CakePHP related, some Yammer/Twitter ruby scripts, a handful of Subversion and Git discussions, a selection of Applescript and iPhone development articles, and most likely a sprinkling of Mac related quick-tips.

I look forward to seeing you around the site and in the comments. Have fun and hopefully learn something new or even better share what you know with myself and others!

Oh and if you've read this far and you don't know who I am, feel free to read a bit about me.
